We don't encourage dishonesty

Bahaane does not encourage or endorse misleading your employer, college, or anyone else. Many messages on this site are entirely truthful, everyday ways of asking for leave — phrasing personal or family matters simply, without oversharing. Others, clearly tagged Funny & dramatic, are for humour and are not meant to be sent as real leave requests.

Whether and how you use any message on this site is entirely your own decision and responsibility. Misrepresenting facts to an employer can have real consequences — from an awkward conversation to disciplinary action, depending on your workplace's policies — and that risk sits with you, not with us.
